Countdown to one of the largest plant sales in the Pacific Northwest. The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon sponsors this annual event and this year is the 30 year anniversary for HPSO.
What’s the big deal about Hortlandia? Well, specialty nurseries from all over the Northwest converge for a weekend of plant geek madness.
What will you find there? LOTS of super cool plants; unusual perennials, shrubs, trees, vines, books, and locally crafted garden art. I’m like the kid in the candy store there.
As you shop there will be a plant holding area available so that you may check your plants in and do more shopping. After you pay you can either carry your plants to the parking lot or they can be transferred to an outdoor loading area. Drive your car up and volunteers will load them for you. So much easier than lugging everything out to the far end of the parking lot.
Now here’s what I like to do: see that Room map and Vendor List link below? Click on it and print it off. Search some of the nurseries online and see if they appeal to you. Then highlight their booth location on the map. And, don’t forget your plant list!
